Central Command Inc. Releases Upgraded Versions of Vexira Antivirus

MEDINA, Ohio December, 15 2004, Central Command®, a leading provider of antivirus solutions announced today that, in a state of the art technological move to better serve its customers, it has released new editions of Vexira® Antivirus products [2005] for Microsoft® Windows desktop, Microsoft Windows server, Linux file server and email server, FreeBSD file server and email server, OpenBSD file server and email server and expanded its product line to include Sun Solaris file server and email server and IBM AIX file server and email server.

"At a time when viruses and other malicious applications have become rampant, it is crucial that our users have the best antivirus available," said Steven Sundermeier, Vice President of Products and Services at Central Command Inc. "We've closely listened to the suggestions and feedback of our customers and the new 2005 Vexira Antivirus packages address these needs."

In order to take advantage of Central Command's latest virus scanning technology, all current Vexira Antivirus customers should immediately upgrade to the latest version.

"It is imperative that our customers upgrade before January 1, 2005, as the migration to our new architecture, which will now include a spam signature database, will not support updating the older versions for new viruses beyond this date," concluded Sundermeier. After January 1, 2005 no further updates will be available for any version previously released, only the new format will be supported.

The Central Command help desk is prepared to assist its customers through this relatively simple upgrade. The company is offering free phone, email, and web support, as well as unlimited access to its support representatives through its "live chat" services. A knowledgebase of over five hundred questions and answers has also been added to its support site to lend a hand in the transition to the 2005 antivirus software.

Current Central Command customers are entitled to a free upgrade for the remaining time on their license. An automatic upgrade license processor is available by sending an email message with your current license file (license.key) as an attachment to keyprocessor@centralcommand.com. Once received, the license will be automatically upgraded to the new format and an email message with the new upgraded license will be sent to the sender’s address.

This upgraded version, due to its architectural change, will require an uninstall of the older versions and a new installation of the latest versions.

A toll free number (USA/Canada) is available for all current customers needing assistance at +1 877 943 8287 or direct +1 330 723 2062. Customers can also contact the customer service department at service@centralcommand.com or http://support.vexira.com for personalized assistance.
