"For the first time, the increasing prevalence of phishing scams was reflected in our monthly listing (HTML.Bankfraud.I and HTML.Bankfraud.G)," said Steven Sundermeier, Vice President of Products and Services at Central Command, Inc. "This is particularly alarming as phishing scams seek to trick users into providing personal and financial information. Imagine clipping coupons, cutting costs, and investing every penny for decades just to have your savings stolen by clicking on one well-crafted felonious email." Rather than being a victim of one of these scams by blindly clicking on a website link within an email, Central Command suggests visiting the noted company's website directly.
